Perennial Sydney HQ relocation

Growth prompts Perennial Packaging to relocate Headquarters to Wetherill Park, the largest industrial zone in the Southern Hemisphere. The new Sydney Head Office is located at 4 Ormsby Place, Wetherill Park. Local distribution facilities in Melbourne and Brisbane industrial zones completes Perennial’s East-Australian presence.

“According to the local Fairfield City Council, Smithfield-Wetherill Park is the largest industrial estate this side of the equator. It’s home to over 1000 manufacturers, wholesale traders and retailers of industrial, food and household products as well as transport and logistics businesses of all different sizes, employing over 20,000 people.” says Managing Director, Andy Ung.

“It’s also centrally located with easy access to major roads around greater Sydney. Oh, and the coffee and food options are not too shabby around here either.” He adds with a smile.

Perennial Packaging was previously operating out of an industrial site in Girraween, in Sydney’s southwest. Girraween is a small industrial pocket roughly 15 mins drive from Parramatta, more commonly known as the state’s second largest CBD. The upgrade to a better and bigger, standalone Head Office is consistent with the uptrending growth in the business since its establishment in 2011.

“Over the past 8 years, Perennial Packaging has steadily grown from a small to medium sized business, making us a serious player in the steel packaging market. In more recent times, we have seen rapid growth that has lead to the expansion of our operations to all three states on the Eastern Seaboard. And our relocation to a bigger site is 100% due to the support of our loyal customers, which is backed by our dedicated team and strong company values”, continues the passionate MD.

“The move was necessary to continue servicing our existing customers to our high standards, and also to make room for potential new clients along the road. To be honest, we had outgrown our previous site, even with our tight Just In Time inventory model. So this new head office is much more spacious and comfortable for the team. The warehouse floor, is almost double the size of the previous, which means better efficiency in our despatch and receiving processes.”

Perennial Packaging’s new head office in Wetherill Park is situated in a quiet, wide, cul de sac off the southern end of the busy main road, Victoria Street. Since moving into the neighbourhood in September, the team at Perennial Packaging have decked out the offices spaces spread over two levels with a contemporary welcome and reception area, a corporate board room, a staff games room, a product show room and several casual meeting spaces – making the set up both practical and comfortable for their team.

“The open casual spaces and product show room and consultation centre is reflective of our collaborative and personalised approach to finding customers the best possible solutions to their packaging problems”, says Marketing Director, Amey Kuy. She continues “Our new office spaces are set up to be a positive environment, enabling our team to live the company values internally on a daily basis, and naturally the values will then translate externally.”
